Cell phone video of an intense brawl involving two students at a Atlanta high school may be used to press criminal charges against those involved.

Two students had to be taken to Egleston Hospital after the fight took place on Tuesday at the Carver Early College High School in Fulton County.

Several videos allegedly show five students fighting with a 16-year-old girl and her 14-year-old best friend.

'These babies are at Egleston waiting on a CT scan because they were kicked in their heads,' the mother of the older girl said to WSB-TV.

She spoke anonymously in hopes of not bringing any form of retaliation against her daughter.

'I have never seen a child beat in the face like that before,' she added.

After the fight took place, the mother went up to the school where she saw her daughter's bloody face bruised up.

'It was just a chaotic scene. I saw her face and she was just bleeding from the head,' the mother said.

The mother was adamant that she was keen on pressing charges and couldn't understand why the school's two resource officers would not intervene.

The Atlanta Public Schools released a statement to the station that said:

'The Atlanta Public Schools Police Department is investigating this matter and will issue charges if warranted. The safety and security of our students is a top priority at APS.'
