Launching while the world’s fashion elite are in the French capital for Paris Fashion Week, the Louis Vuitton Marc Jacobs exhibition at the city’s museum of Arts Décoratifs will celebrate the fashion house’s namesake and its current creative director by comparing and analyzing their achievements during very different time periods. 2012 will be a big year for fashion exhibitions, with a Christian Louboutin retrospective due to take place at London’s Design Museum later in the year. http://www.lesartsdecoratifs.fr/english-439/exhibitions/forthcoming-events

Every Spring around 2000 companies from the watch, jewelry and precious-stone industries unveil the latest innovations at Baselworld, with the world's most prestigious brands such as Rolex, Chopard, Tissot, Patek Philippe and Bulgari exclusively displaying their collections. Some 100,000 visitors from the retail and wholesale market are expected to attend the 2012 expo.
L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival
As well as featuring Australia’s established and emerging designers, this annual event offers beauty workshops, industry seminars, forums and live entertainment. Creators including Karen Walker, Dion Lee and Lisa Ho are on the lineup for this year, while burlesque performer Dita Von Teese will present her latest lingerie range in collaboration with Target Australia.
Toronto Fashion Week

Thanks to a new sponsorship deal, Toronto Fashion Week will now be called World MasterCard Fashion Week, with more than 60 designer runway shows and Fall/Winter 2012 presentations to take place. Held at the city’s David Pecaut Square, designers on the bill include Martin Lim and David Dixon.
113th GDS International Event for shoes and accessories

With around 1,850 collections on display each season, GDS provides a comprehensive market overview of women's, men's, and children's footwear. It is the leading specialist shoe fair for the central and northern European market and has attracted increasing numbers of exhibitors and buyers from Eastern Europe in recent years. Exhibitors range from luxury label Stuart Weitzman to trainers company Converse.
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tokyo
While some of Japan's biggest designers such as Yohji Yamamoto have been showing their collections outside Tokyo for some time, this event is an excellent opportunity to discover the city’s rising talent. This year highlights will include a presentation from Yuima Nakazato, whose conceptual fashion has been making an impact on an international scale.
